LGD training

Livestock Guardian Dogs are the backbone of many livestock operations, but successful guardianship requires more than instinct alone. Our LGD programs focus on proper bonding, livestock manners, boundary respect, and age-appropriate development in a working farm environment.

LGD Programs are designed exclusively for LGD breeds and crosses working with livestock.

How to Choose the Right LGD Program

  • Boarding Only → Care only, no behavior change

  • Basic LGD Board & Train → Young dogs, new placements, foundations

  • Intermediate LGD Training → Adolescents, boundary issues, chasing

  • Advanced / Problem LGD Training → Aggression, roaming, failed placements

Important Notes

  • LGD training is not obedience training

  • Outcomes depend on genetics, maturity, and prior experience

  • Not all dogs are suitable for every livestock environment

  • Owner management after pickup is critical to long-term success
